What is Chulukua-Ryu?

Chulukua-Ryu is a martial arts system that blends various techniques and philosophies from different martial arts traditions. It was developed by Grandmaster John Pachivas, who sought to create a comprehensive and effective self-defense system. Chulukua-Ryu incorporates elements from judo, karate, aikido, and other martial arts, emphasizing practical self-defense, physical conditioning, and mental discipline.

The system is known for its adaptability and effectiveness in real-world situations, making it a versatile martial art for practitioners of all ages and skill levels. Training in Chulukua-Ryu typically includes striking, grappling, joint locks, throws, and weapons training, providing a well-rounded martial arts education.

Karate cannot be adequately learned in a short space of time. Like a torpid bull, regardless of how slowly it moves, it will eventually cover a thousand miles. So too, for one who resolves to study Karate diligently two or three hours every day. After three or four years of unremitting effort one's body will undergo a great transformation revealing the very essence of Karate.
